"As head of the Cloud and Data Center Research Practice, he is responsible for research quality across the practice and his research is focused on cloud services, data center compute and networking, and software defined networking (SDN). Dr. Grossner has more than 25 years of telecommunications industry experience encompassing scientific research, market analysis, corporate and product strategy, product management and marketing. A recognized thought leader, he frequently is an expert judge for industry and technology innovation awards and an invited conference speaker, who is often quoted in technical publications, including SDx Central, Light Reading, Fierce Telecom, eWeek, Network Computing and Lightwave Online.

Dr. Grossner joined Omdia with the 2019 acquisition of IHS Markit Technology, which acquired
Infonetics Research in 2014. While at IHS Markit he launched the Cloud and Data Center Research
Practice and during his tenure at Infonetics he launched their cloud services and DC SDN research and grew total revenue of his research portfolio by 100%.

Previous to Infonetics, he held senior positions in the information and communications technology
industries, including heading strategic marketing for Alcatel-Lucent's enterprise network business,
tenures at Bell Labs, Sesame Networks, NewStep Networks, and Nortel. At McGill and Concordia
universities, he worked as a research scientist and faculty lecturer specializing in artificial intelligence,
distributed computing, and computer architecture. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy at McGill
University, and his Master of Science in Computer Science at Concordia University, both in Montreal,
Quebec, Canada, having been awarded national scholarships to support his graduate work. He holds
over 10 patents in computer networking, networking embedded security and telecommunications
applications."
