In this presentation we will describe the requirements for a NEBS compliant Open Edge switch and provide details about the design logic applied for the Open Edge switch implementation. Contributed design specification complies with OCP tenets (efficiency, scalability, openness, impact) and OCP open edge specifications. In addition to hardware, this presentation will also give an introduction to the switch functionality implementation that uses SONiC network operating system as basis.
