Multi-Host NIC allows significantly increased compute density and infrastructure efficiency. But it also poses challenges for deployment at scale. These challenges involve various aspects of the design and operation like network congestions, flexible QoS, host isolation, power management, PCIe Bi-furcation, resets and software updates. In this talk we would discuss some of the challenges experienced during deployment and how these shaped next generation design of Multi-Host NICs.
