Multi-Host Design Considerations for OCP NIC Implementations

OCP NIC 3.0 specification enables an implementation of a NIC that is shared by multiple host complexes. A multi-host NIC implementation needs to take into account design considerations including PCIe bi-furcation, host isolation, QoS, buffering, power management, resets, and firmware update. In this talk, we will discuss these design considerations for multi-host NIC implementations.
